"At my first SHEN experience with Darren, I experienced a holistic understanding of sound-healing. He began the evening's session by speaking to my cerebral/understanding self (mind), - using lay-person's language to convey to us what sound-healing is, how it has been used, and how it has practical applicability for everyone. By doing this, he created a context for the experience we were to have, - he set the stage, so to speak, - so the mind could be settled with it's 'knowing' and the body/spirit could then be free to journey, unencumbered by the longing to understand and name the experience. As a result, the experience was magnificent! - As I lay on the floor under a blanket, feeling the singing bowls fill my being, I was transported to a new way of feeling my body. As a yoga teacher and regular practitioner, this is huge! - Darren's voice (especially when coupled with his partner's) moved energy through me, as though it was directed specifically to ME, - to the point where I was actually quivering and undulating softly as healing energy and light fluttered in and around me, - filling the room with a sense of abiding love and peace.
